Timeline

  1. Bring water to a boil
  2. Add pouch (and optional olive oil)
  3. Return to a boil
  4. Cover and simmer 25–30 minutes
  5. Rest covered 5 minutes
  6. Serve (about 35 minutes total)

Ingredients

  • 1 pouch Bayt Mujadara (460 g)
  • 5 cups water
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Boil Bring 5 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add Add 1–2 tbsp olive oil and the entire pouch. Return to a boil.
  3. Cover + simmer Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 25–30 min, until the water is absorbed.
  4. Rest + serve Remove from heat. Rest covered 5 min. Fluff with a fork, drizzle with olive oil and serve.

Dinner ready in about 35 minutes total (prep + simmer + rest) — not simmer time alone.
