Cumin, coriander, cinnamon, black pepper, and salt — already in the onions.

Caramelized onions

Slow-cooked until sweet and golden, packed for the perfect finish.

You add

5 cups of water, 1–2 tbsp olive oil, and about 35 minutes until dinner is ready.

Cooking instructions

One pot. About 35 minutes.

  1. Boil Bring 5 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add Add 1–2 tbsp olive oil and the entire pouch. Return to a boil.
  3. Cover + simmer Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 25–30 min, until the water is absorbed.
  4. Rest + serve Remove from heat. Rest covered 5 min. Fluff with a fork, drizzle with olive oil and serve.

Dinner ready in about 35 minutes total (prep + simmer + rest) — not simmer time alone.

Our story

It started in my mother's kitchen.

Bayt means "home" in Arabic. For us, mujadara has always tasted exactly like that: a one-pot Levantine classic, topped with deeply golden onions, served warm on Sunday or eaten cold the next day.

We created BAYT because people kept asking for the recipe. The honest answer was always: "it depends on the feel, the smell, and the moment". So we turned that feeling into a box — the right lentils, the right rice, our spice blend, and caramelized onions for the finish.

Open the carton, follow the steps, and about 35 minutes later, dinner is ready. Sahtein.
